Environmental Impact and how
Kiri is making a difference

Immediate
Alternatives

Ideas are painful, but most
ideas around C02 reduction
are either very long term or
unrealistic due to global
industrialisation. Our main
objective is to develop
technologies that can make a
significant impact on the
environment today by using
existing equipment
and processes.

Global
Collaboration

Kiri IP partners with global leaders in order to produce and distribute its technological solutions on a global scale. We value our partners and work with them from scaling to marketing to ensure success. These relationships with our partners are vital in effectively accomplishing our mission of having a positive effect on people and the world.

Patented
Technology

Kiri developments undergo rigorous debate, vetting and searches worldwide to ensure product uniqueness and viability. Many developments are recognized internationally as as well as throughout North America by working with National and International Patent agencies. The process is critical to ensure our partners have the greatest opportunity to successfully introduce Kiri technology in their products throughout the word.

Kiri Environmental

Impact:

There are approximately 400 million hardwood
trees cut down per year to produce face
veneer on hardwood plywood.

What does that mean for our society?

Consider the numbers:

Q

What are the average annual carbon
dioxide(CO2) emissions of a typical
passenger vehicle?

A

A typical passenger vehicle emits
about 4.6 metric tons of carbon
dioxide per year.

Information

about Trees:

Like other green plants, trees use photosynthesis to convert CO2 into sugar, cellulose and other carbon-containing carbohydrates they use for food and growth.

Trees are unique in their ability to convert large amounts of carbon into wood, continually adding carbon as they grow.

Pine tree

Softwood pulp trees, like the southern yellow pine, absorb about 10kg of carbon per year.

Sugar Maple Tree

Hardwood trees, like the sugar maple, absorb about 22kg of carbon per year.

Years:

Pine tree

An average pine tree can grow
for about 90 years.

The pine tree will sequester a little over 1 ton of CO2 .

Sugar Maple Tree

An average sugar maple tree
can grow for 300 years.

Over their lifespan, the maple will sequester over 7 tons of CO2.

Kiri Technology and Environmental Impact:

If all the face veneer of hardwood plywood was replaced with our technology for only 1 year, the industry would allow sequestration of 9.6 million metric Tons of CO2!!!

This number grows exponentially when carried out over 10 years to almost 100 million metric Tons per year! In only 40 years, the additional CO2 sequestration would be almost 8 billion metric tons.

*These numbers represent how much
CO2 is removed from the air.

We are focused on using our resources in the most efficient way while enjoying nature’s beauty. One example of our technology is Kiri Veneer. Below, find the Environmental Impact based on utilizing this technology:

Translated into the number of cars driven, the first-year effect is equivalent of removing 2 million cars from the road (that is like removing all of the pollution caused by cars in New York City.

By year 10, it’s the equivalent of removing 21.7 million cars from the road each year (that is like removing all of the pollution
from ALL of the cars in Texas.

This is simply an example of the utilization of our technology on face veneer of hardwood plywood. There are many additional uses, and the numbers grow much higher.

The incorporation of this technology truly carries out our mission of developing products and technology that have a positive effect on people and the world.

The Pressing Developments technology behind Kiri Veneer provides wood product manufactures a true alternative to hardwood veneers without sacrifice. When they adopt this technology, not only will manufacturers increase their quality and yield, but they will also have a positive impact on the environment.
